High Quality, TÜV-SÜD Certified Primer Concentrate - Makes 5 Liters

The YShiled GK5 Primer Concentrate is a high quality primer, used to prepare surfaces for EMF shielding paint applications. This primer can be applied on old coats of paint, brittle, chalky and absorbent substrates. Consolidating, adhesion promoting, good penetration, regulates the absorbency. Our graphite shielding paints are also recommended when mineral or otherwise challenging coatings are to be applied.

Mixing:

Mix the concentrate (1 liter) with 4 liters of water. This will create 5 liters of primer. If you use tap-water, process within 48 hours. When applying, use a high quality paint roller. 

TÜV-SÜD Certification:

YShield shielding paints are monitored by TÜV-SÜD. The entire production process including quality control, emission behaviour and economical use of preserving agents are subject to monitoring.

Installation Notes:

Do not work at temperatures below 5°C/41°F. The usage of this primer depends on the character and absorbency of the surface. Typical interior productivity is 37.5 m², and typical exterior productivity is 25 m².

NOTE: As there are various paints available worldwide, we can never give a guarantee for specific combinations. In addition, many purely mineral paints and ecological paints adhere poorly on the graphite surface of our shielding paints. We always recommend applying a test coating on a sampling area before processing.

Our paint has a very low VOC content and others may as well but they still may not be compatible with an environmentally sensitive person.  If this is a concern,  we would suggest testing various paints being used for environmental compatibility on their own and combined together in an small area before starting your paint project.
